Drink to the Mirror

Drink to the Mirror is a new two-act play profiling a stand-off between the two main characters, a young Scottish actress and a young Polish chambermaid. Set in a small run down bedsit in the West End of Glasgow, the women live in very close proximity to each other. The play deals with the current issue of cultural difference and similarity, examining how misunderstanding of culture can lead to fraught difficulties.
We're in the process of developing the play for a showcase in Autumn 2011... Keep an eye on this post, as we reveal more details.

  1. Great! We are on our way with Drink to the Mirror!
Had our first development day with actors this month - thanks to Platform Theatre for hosting us! It was a really interesting day, bringing up a few issues with the text and helping me, as the writer, to really see the characters in 3D. Following this development session, I'm going into a further month of writing and as a result should have a working script before the Edinburgh Fringe kicks off.
